How to develop oral communication in the English Classroom

april, 28th

OVERVIEW

Communicative Competence might be considered the most important goal in the language classroom. But what does communicative competence really entail? How can we foster communication in the classroom? What can we do to overcome difficulties while teaching online?

The aim of this session is for participants to reflect on speaking as a productive skill and identify suitable activities that enable young learners to develop their “Communicative Competence” through discourse-oriented activities. Practitioners will work with a variety of activities that can be transferred to their classrooms to promote production in a meaningful and creative way while working both face-to-face or distance.
